Happy National Picnic Day!

I’ve had this huge, vintage style picnic basket for about 3 years now, and I’m finally putting it to use. And what better way to use it than on National Picnic Day! I love those random national days, it’s usually a no-brainer when creating content, and gives you a chance to do something fun for your business.

If you’re having trouble creating content for your business, I encourage to do some research on all national days that resonate with your brand. Do you own a coffee shop? Well you should definitely be participating in “National Coffee Day” . Or do you own a clothing brand? There’s a lot of content opportunities for you; National Dress Day, National Pink Day, etc.

The goal with using national days in your content strategy, is to use them sparingly and to make sure they make sense for your brand. Creating content can be overwhelming especially when there’s so much to choose from. Here’s some relief for you, start with these tips below.

  • Look at each month and plan themes for each of them

  • Understand your audience; who are your main customers/clients ?

  • Use National Day site for those special days or other sites you prefer

  • Start out by celebrating 1-3 national days a month

  • Center the content around your brand’s personality

By focusing on these tips first, you’re on your way to creating fun and engaging content. As your business grows, so will the opportunities to find interesting ways to implement your idea!
